News from Church Council

Our September Church Council meeting was very busy, with lots  discussed.  The full notes from the meeting can be found on the noticeboard in the corridor, but here are some particular points of interest:

• A YOUTH TASK GROUP has been proposed to look at setting up a Youth Club for teenagers jointly with Ruislip.  If you would like to be part of this exciting venture please speak to Barnabas or one of the Stewards.  Members of the Task Group will not necessarily be running any future Youth Club, but looking at how best to meet the needs of young people locally and what they would like to do.
• The STUDY GROUPS will continue in Lent 2009, using the book, “The Stature of Waiting”.
• We are pleased to say that we have been approached by ORCHYD, to use the premises for their holiday for disabled children in the summer of 2009 - watch this space!

Church Library & Book Reviews

New books have been purchased and are available to borrow from the bookshelf in the vestibule.  There are some very interesting titles.  If you have already read one, and would like to write a (brief) review for Inspire, please let Val know.
